Question 1

What is a customized yardage book?

Accepted Answer

A customized yardage book is a custom-printed guide for a specific golf course, tailored to your junior golfer's game. It includes contour maps, hole layouts, distances calibrated to their skill level, and space for notes and strategies.

Question 2

Do non-members get all the book features?

Accepted Answer

Every book includes our customized contour maps and calibrated yardages, plus space for notes and strategy. More smart features are on the way.

Question 3

How long does it take to receive my yardage book?

Accepted Answer

Each yardage book is custom-printed to order. As we bring all our systems online, please allow extra time for processing — we'll do our best to meet demand as we roll out. Your book then ships via USPS with a tracking number, and we'll confirm firm timelines once we're fully live.

Question 4

Can I order a yardage book for any course?

Accepted Answer

We have data for thousands of courses across the US. If your course isn't in our system, you can submit a course request and we'll add it as fast as humanly possible. We use professional mapping data to ensure accuracy.

Question 5

What's included in each yardage book?

Accepted Answer

Each book includes detailed hole layouts with contour maps, calibrated distances based on your player's skill level, space for personal notes and strategy, par information, and hazard locations.

Question 6

Can I order a book for 9 holes only?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can order a book for the front 9, back 9, or all 18 holes.

Question 7

What if the yardage book course map is inaccurate or wrong?

Accepted Answer

We take accuracy seriously. If you find any errors in your yardage book, contact us and we'll correct the data and send a replacement at no charge.

Question 8

How do I track my shots in the yardage book?

Accepted Answer

Shot tracking is currently in Beta — the workflow (and how AI Vision reads your marks to capture distances) is still being refined, so expect it to keep improving. Here's how it works today: Mark an X on the hole map where you hit each shot. Write the club you used next to each X (D for Driver, 7i for 7 Iron, PW for Pitching Wedge, P for Putter). Your X marks go in order from the tee to the green. Write your putt count near the green (e.g., 2P for 2 putts).

Question 9

How do I mark penalties in the yardage book?

Accepted Answer

If your ball goes in the water, write 'W' next to your X mark — that's a 1-stroke penalty. Drop a new ball and mark your next X where you dropped. For out of bounds, write 'OB' next to the X — also a 1-stroke penalty. Drop a new ball and continue.

Question 10

How do I log my scores after a round?

Accepted Answer

Scan the QR code on the explanation page of your yardage book, or go to your Dashboard and tap 'Add Scores' next to the event. You can enter scores manually using the Quick Grid, or upload a photo of your scorecard and we'll auto-fill the scores for you.

Question 11

Can I upload a photo of my scorecard?

Accepted Answer

Yes! On the scorecard entry screen, tap 'Choose' to take a photo or select an image of your scorecard (.jpg format). Our AI will read the scores and auto-fill the grid. Always double-check the scores — handwriting can sometimes be hard to read.

Question 12

What do the REMEMBER and REFLECT sections mean?

Accepted Answer

REMEMBER tips appear on each hole's overview page — they're strategy reminders or mental game tips tailored to your player. REFLECT questions appear on the green detail page — after the hole, rate how well you executed on a 1-5 scale. Each REFLECT section shows the hole number on the left so it's easy to identify when photographing pages for score logging.

Question 13

What does a free account get me?

Accepted Answer

A free account is free — no subscription. You can save up to 2 junior golfer profiles, log your rounds, review your latest round's stats and mindset, use AI Vision to snap-capture scores and club distances, get 20 AI Chat responses a month to try Coach Jr, and order customized yardage books anytime.

Question 14

Do I have to buy a book to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. You can create a free account anytime — even if you're not ready to order a book yet — and start tracking your junior golfer right away. Then order a customized yardage book whenever you need one.
