Children's Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Provider: JrCaddie (“JrCaddie,” “we,” “us”)

JrCaddie is a junior-golf service used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children (“Players”). We care about children's privacy and designed JrCaddie to collect as little information about a child as possible. This Notice explains what we collect about Players, how we use it, and the rights you have as a parent or guardian. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.

The parent is the account holder

  • Only an adult (18+) parent or legal guardian can create an account. Children do not have their own logins and do not create accounts.
  • The parent sets up each Player as a profile inside the parent's account and enters the Player's information themselves. The child does not interact with the service directly to provide personal information.

What we collect about a Player

We practice data minimization — we collect only what's needed to provide the service:

  • A nickname for the Player (you choose it — a real or legal name is not required).
  • The Player's age or age division (to tailor distances, pars, and content appropriately).
  • Golf performance data the parent logs — e.g., rounds, scores, club distances, and mindset/reflection entries — used to personalize the Player's yardage books, dashboard, and coaching.

We do not require a Player's full legal name, home address, photo, full date of birth, school, or precise geolocation to use the service. The mailing address we store is the parent's (the account holder), for shipping and billing — it is the adult's information, not the child's.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or rent Players' personal information.
  • We do not let children create their own accounts or publicly post.
  • We do not use Players' information for third-party advertising, and we do not knowingly build advertising profiles of children. Third-party analytics are not loaded on the pages that show a child's data.

How we use a Player's information

Only to provide and improve the service for you: building personalized yardage books, showing the Player's progress on your dashboard, powering coaching features, and improving JrCaddie.

Who we share it with (service providers only)

We share limited information with vendors who help us run the service, under contracts that restrict their use to our instructions — for example: hosting/database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email (AWS SES), and AI coaching features (our AI provider). For AI features, a Player is identified by nickname only — never a full name or date of birth. The Player's chosen nickname also appears on the printed yardage book you order (that is the product you asked us to make).

Verifiable parental consent

Because Players are children, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting a Player's information. You provide consent as the adult account holder when you set up your account and agree to our Terms, Privacy Policy, and this Notice; we record your consent (date and version).

Your rights as a parent/guardian

At any time, you may:

  • Review the information we have about your Player;
  • Correct or update it;
  • Delete your Player's information or your account; and
  • Refuse further collection or use of your Player's information (note this may limit or end the service).

To exercise any of these, contact support@jrcaddie.com or use the controls in your account. We will verify you are the account-holding parent/guardian before acting.

Data retention & security

We keep a Player's information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards (including access controls) to protect it.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or “share” (as defined by CPRA) the personal information of minors. California residents have additional rights described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes & contact

We'll post changes here with a new “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes. Questions about children's privacy: support@jrcaddie.com.
